San Beda College has joined hands
with the Asian Institute of Management
- World Bank - Knowledge for Development
Center and its sister school,
St. Benedict College to form an
extensive library for the students
and faculty of both schools.
The AIM-WB-KDC is a depository
library that provides development-related
publications of the World Bank
and other world-class institutions
and organizations.
Initially,
the World Bank provided 2,000
titles of publication and CDs
and videotapes. Some 300 to 400
news titles are expected to be
added each year. The KDC also
provided computer terminals for
access to online documents and
reports of the WB. The Global
JOLIS cataloguing system allows
users to view the collection and
to access selected documents of
over 60 World Bank Public Information
Centers around the World.
Dr.
Roberto F. de Ocampo, AIM president,
signed the Memorandum of Agreement
with Fr. Anscar J. Chupungco,
OSB, Rector-President, and Fr.
Francis B. Hubilla, OSB, Dean,
College of Arts and Sciences.
Witnesses to the signing were
Dr. Felina C. Young, Dean, Graduate
School of Business, Mrs. Gloria
M. Melendres, coordinator of Libraries
and Mrs. Marlo C. Chavez, College
librarian.
