San Beda College regained the seniors crown in the 85th NCAA taekwondo championships, dethroning College of St. Benilde recently at The Arena in San Juan.
The Red Lions amassed a total of 394.08 points to claim their third men’s taekwondo title in the league since the event was introduced in 1998. They previously won in 2006 and 2008.
Dexter Cabradilla, a prized find from Pines City National High School in Baguio City, led the Red Lions to the victory and was later named the tournament’s MVP.
"Siyempre masarap ang feeling na nag-champion kami ulit. Mahirap ang kompestiyon kasi mabigat ang CSB at San Sebastian, nagkatalo lang sa mga huling events," said San Beda mentor Noel Veneracion, who was also adjudged Coach of the Year. Full Story
