The Department of Education (DepEd) formulated the new set of guidelines of the suspension of classes in cases of typhoon and calamities.
Classes shall be automatically suspended without a need of any announcement in the following:

1. Where typhoon signal no. 2 was raised by PAGASA, classes at the elementary level shall be automatically suspended.

2. Where typhoon signal no. 3 and 4 was raised by PAGASA, classes in the elementary and secondary levels shall be automatically     suspended.

3. Where the rains are heavy, causing floods in the community and in the area of the school, classes in the schools affected are     automatically suspended.

4. Where other calamities such as floods, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes have occurred seriously damaged the homes of families in     the community and probable recurrence of such calamities is declared by proper authorities, classes in all levels are automatically     suspended.

Classes shall be suspended when any of the following special cases happens:

1. Announcement by the DepEd Regional Director – As a matter of policy, the suspension, cancellation, and/or postponement of classes in     a particular region, if it is region-wide, shall be announced by the regional director after consultation with the superintendents and local     government officials.

2. Announcements by the School Heads/Principals – In cases where conditions endanger the lives and safety of pupils, students, teachers,     and other school personnel, school heads/principals in affected areas may use their discretion in suspending classes. A telephone     brigade scheme is being used to facilitate communications.

3. Announcement by Local Government Officials – In extreme cases such as floods, high tides, lahar, earthquakes, etc., the chief executive     of the local government concerned may cancel classes on his/her particular area, and later on, inform the highest school officials in the     said area.

Parents are likewise instructed to decide on whether or not they should send their children to school in the event that the heavy rains or flooding should occur in their areas. School authorities have been instructed not to penalize children for absences made during such events and instead provide opportunities for make-up classes or activities for the lessons missed.

On such occasions the gates of the College are closed. You will not be allowed to enter the school campus.

If such typhoon, flood, rally or emergency is announced after classes have started, you will stay inside your classroom until your parents or guardians/drivers/operators of transport service fetch you. All those not fetched are dismissed per regular schedule.

The school assumes no responsibility for pupils who stay beyond their dismissal time. Parents and guardians should fetch their children on time to avoid any untoward incident that may happen inside the school campus while waiting to be fetched.
