A. CHRISTIAN FORMATION
 
The religious formation of the students is an essential component of the educational objectives of San Beda College. The religious services, activities and facilities provide students with opportunities to develop a closer personal relationship with God and their fellow persons. The Coordinator of the Religious Formation Program and the College Chaplain take charge of the religious services and activities.
I. RELIGIOUS SERVICES

Daily Masses

6:00 to 7:30 AM:
Abbey Church -- Mass every 30 minutes

11:15 AM:
College Prayer/Meditation Room

Monthly Community Mass is celebrated both in the morning and in the afternoon.

Spiritual Direction/Consultation - The College Chaplain is available for spiritual consultations. If one so desires, a student may approach or set an appointment with one of the Benedictine monks in the College or at the Abbey.

Sacrament of Reconciliation - Anytime upon request which can be made with any of the priests in the College or in the Abbey.

   
2. RETREAT AND RECOLLECTION PROGRAMS  
   

PEACE RETREAT PROGRAM FOR FRESHMEN

Theme: "Christ as the Center of the Family."
This is a 48-hour out-of-campus and live-in retreat focusing on an individual's
relationship with God and his family.

Goal: to strengthen the students' commitment, love and respect to God and the members of His family.

RECOLLECTION FOR FRESHMEN (Graduates of San Beda High School)
Theme: "Call to Discipleship"

Goal: to draw from the students a renewed commitment to God and his family and to instill the
value of discipleship.

RECOLLECTION FOR SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS

Themes: "Call to Fidelity" for sophomores; "Call to Service" for juniors

RETREAT PROGRAM FOR SENIORS

Theme: "Call to Commitment"

Goal: to renew the commitment of the seniors to a just and humane society and their vow to always uphold the Benedictine and Christian principles of the Bedan community.

Duration: a two-day out-of-campus retreat

The office also serves as the Religious Formation Center of the College and the Office of the Religious Formation Animators.
