PARANGAL is a traditional Award’s Night of the College of Arts and Sciences spearheaded by the Office of the Prefect of Student Affairs (OPSA) which is held towards the end of every academic year. The OPSA distributes special awards to various deserving student organizations and outstanding student leaders. These awards include Outstanding Student Organization Awards, namely: Outstanding Professional Organization, Outstanding Social-Cultural Organization, Outstanding Religious Organization, and Outstanding Special Interest Organization. The OPSA will also give Special Awards to activities such as Best in Outreach Activity, Best Inter-school Activity, Best Exhibit, Best Cultural Activity, Best Religious Activity, Best Academic-Related Activity, Most Innovative Activity and the Most Outstanding Activity of the Year.
For the Student’s Individual Award for Outstanding Performance, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals or Certificates of Recognition are also given to deserving student leaders who gave their commitment and dedication to achieve the goals of the organization.
The Office of the Prefect of Student Affairs gives the Exemplary Student Award (ESA) in recognition to students of the College of Arts and Sciences who best exemplify the Bedan qualities of academic excellence and exceptional leadership in campus as well as in community activities thereby serving as role models to the studentry.
Last but not the least, the OPSA SPECIAL AWARD is given in grateful recognition of a Bedan’s acts of self-giving to the Bedan community.
