Why just work when you can work and study at the same time!
This is precisely the belief that seven non-teaching personnel (NTP) of San Beda College subscribed to. While working in the different support offices in the College, they are at the same time MBA students in the San Beda Graduate School of Business. And they are not just plain students, they are scholars!
In line with the Career Pathing Program for the Non-Teaching Personnel of San Beda College, scholarship grants are available to willing and qualified employees. The scholarship program offers 100% tuition fee discount, PhP2,000.00 book, and PhP5,000.00 thesis writing subsidies. Going the extra mile, the Human Resource Management Office solicits funding assistance from donors. Solicited funds are used to partially fund the miscellaneous fees that are supposed to be shouldered by the NTP-scholars. Currently, the NTP-scholars in the SBCGSB receive a 50% subsidy for their miscellaneous fees.
The NTP-scholars at the SBCGSB are:
(a) Albert C. Silva of the College of Medicine
(b) Archie B. Domingo of the CAS Prefect of Student Affairs Office
(c) Rogelio G. Meneses of the Basic Education Department
(d) Ricky C. Salapong of the CAS Central Office
(e) Francis Mark F. Serrano of the Registrar’s Office
(f) Orense S. Namoca of the Human Resource Management Office; and
(g) Joice F. Fortuno of the Office of the Vice Rector and Basic Education Department Principal (who started with the program during the Second Trimester of Academic Year 2008-2009)
San Beda College’s mission of education, which is essentially a mission of holistic Christian growth, is not limited to its students but extends to all the members of the Bedan community. For its non-teaching personnel, the Career Pathing Program that includes, among others, the Scholarship Program in the SBCGSB, is a concrete way for San Beda College to pursue and live its mission.
Are you contented with your work, position, and salary now? The seven NTP-scholars at the SBCGSB are obviously not. They want more and when they become MBAs, they will have better opportunities of having better work, higher positions and bigger paychecks!
