ADMISSION POLICIES
Applicants to the College of Arts and Sciences must meet the following requirements for admission:
- Grades received in previous academic work (4th year HS general average of 82 and above with no grades below 80, especially in Science, Math and English),
- Entrance exam scores,
- Recommendations from the officials of the school last attended,
- Interview, essay tests, and other supplementary credentials, and
- Certification of good moral character
Admission of transferees is limited only to those seeking enlistment in the first and/or second year of the desired course. Transferees must meet the following requirements:
- Should have a weighted Grade Point Average (GPA) not lower than 2.25, counting all the subjects taken in the school/s previously enrolled in,
- Should neither have an incomplete grade nor have withdrawn in more than one (1) subject per semester in the school previously enrolled in,
- An applicant who does not satisfy the above requirements may be allowed to enroll as a first year student provided that the failing or dropped marks should not exceed three subjects, and he/she signs an affidavit waiving the credits earned from the previous school.
- Should have passed the initial interview and evaluation of credentials to determine qualification for entrance examination,
- Should have passed the SBC Entrance Test and interview
- Must not have been previously enrolled in two or more colleges or universities unless grades are exceptionally high, and
Should submit all other requirements as deemed necessary by the Board of Admissions |
