1. ELEMENTARY LEVEL
The Student Activity Program of the Elementary level aims for the total development of each Bedan grader. It is so structured in order to meet the religious, moral, intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of the student according to his/her age level. Each student is encouraged to participate in activities where he/she can share his/ her talent to give joy to others.
The program is composed of the Co-Curricular/Academic Activities, the Extra Curricular Activities, and other special activities/celebrations.
A. THE ACCREDITED CLUBS
Guidelines for Joining Accredited Clubs
A pupil may join any of the accredited club (one club only) that he/she may find
Pupils who want to join any of the athletic clubs should see to it that meetings are done after class hours or on Saturdays so it will not affect his/her class schedule.
Points gained as a member of any of the athletic club will not be credited in the computation of grade for the commencement honor roll.
1. Religious Organizations
LECTORS MINISTRY AND ALTAR SERVERS
These religious clubs give emphasis on the formation of future lay leaders of the Catholic Church through series of speech development, and public speaking before they become readers and proclaimers of the Word of God during the school’s celebration of the sacraments. Part of the program is acquiring knowledge of the rite of the sacraments, sacred vessels and vestments, and their formation to foster good behavior through prayer and work in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
2. Service Clubs
THE JUNIOR LIBRARY CLUB 1 & 2
The Learning Resource Center is an integral part of a Bedan pupil’s education. It has emerged as the most promising vehicle in improving and enriching learning activities. Because of the many activities and offerings of the Learning Resource Center, the Learning Resource Center staff needs the helping hand, of concerned and dedicated pupils for the full realization of its goals and objectives.
The Junior Library Club serves as a catalyst for the intellectual growth and creativity of its members and serves as an instrument in developing their social consciousness.
BEDANS IN ACTION
The Bedans in Action is a service club that gives assistance to class advisers in maintaining order and discipline during recess, lunch breaks, morning assembly, Eucharistic Celebration, and other school related activities. The members also help in monitoring/maintaining cleanliness in the school campus especially in places where pupils stay/gather together to eat.
The Scouting Movement of San Beda College Elementary Level is an organization for young boys and girls that provides outdoor-based non-formal education committed to develop morally straight, disciplined, concerned, selfreliant citizens in the best tradition of World of Scouting.
PEER HELPERS’ GROUP
As a special program under the Auxiliary Service of the Elementary Unit Guidance Office, the Peer Helpers’ Group was established to bridge the statutory gap between the Counselors and Students. Believing that the students, with the proper training and supervision would be able to communicate with their peers at their own developmental level, the Counselors shall utilize the Peer Helpers as a link to be able to reach out to more students.
RED CROSS YOUTH COUNCIL
Red Cross Youth is one of the six major services of the Philippine National Red Cross established in San Beda College Basic Education to cater interested students in the Elementary and Secondary units. Its commitment is to educate students and provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their energy and idealism into worthwhile activities within the framework of the organization such as team building, leadership training and first-aid. In consonance with the Red Cross idealism and its commitment to serve others for the greater glory of God, the Red Cross Youth Council was established. It is meant to provide the avenue through which its members will get the necessary training to be appropriately prepared to assist others in times of emergency. Its members also intend to train other non-members of the organization to prepare them to assist other people, most specially to cope with any difficult situation or event.
Through the Little Bedan, the members will be able to have exposure on the different kinds of writing, understand unity and coherence in coming up with remarkable writing whether these are expository, descriptive, persuasive or narrative. They will be able to value the importance of creativity, accuracy, validity, critical mindedness and ability to organize one’s work.
It is composed of the whole elementary student body whose officers come from the class president and vice-president of grades 4 to 6 and are elected by the pupils from the same grade levels. It aims to produce young Bedan leaders who are willing to serve God and their fellow Bedans honestly and wholeheartedly and develop the self-confidence and speaking/communication skills of each officer. It also aims to put up projects that will benefit the whole Bedan community; help/assist the school authorities in the implementation of the school’s policies, rules and regulations.
3. Culture and Art Clubs
The Childrens’ Choir is a group of selected students from grades 3-6 who have potential and interest in signing. The children are taught basic techniques in singing both for individual and group performance they perform in various school related activities such as Convocations, Programs, and Eucharistic Celebrations as well as outside performances through special invitations.
Rondalla is a group of students who have interest in playing stringed instruments. They are taught to play the various available instruments such as banduria, octavina and guitar. Primarily, the children who play the banduria and octavina start playing the scale and various exercises for mastery. The guitar players begin with the basic primary chords, and start playing some selected folk songs and other selected musical pieces. The members of the Rondalla are trained to read notes on the staff and experience various musical activities to master their selected musical pieces. They are developed to be responsible young musicians and to become self-confident in playing stringed musical instruments.
This club is popular to pupils who have a great love for dancing. Creativity, proper rhythm and correct body movements are needed by all members of this dance club. The members learn to cooperate, develop confidence and follow instructions. They perform dance presentations in school related programs and convocations.
ARTS AND CRAFTS
This club was created to cater to the needs of the grades 1 & 2 pupils interested in arts and crafts. It teaches its members visual art techniques and provides them with opportunities to explore the medium of art.
The club caters to the pupils’ love for dancing in a more programmed and competitive scheme.
The Anklung Ensemble is a cultural club that aims to develop the grades 1& 2 pupils’ self-esteem and self-confidence in the field of performance. It also develops the gifted pupils’ love for music.
DRUM AND LYRE
It is a club that aims to teach the grades 1 & 2 pupils to at least play five musical pieces with pride and confidence. The club gives opportunities to it's members to perform during major school activities.
This club is open to all grades 4 to 6 pupils; The Little Indians give support to the athletes who compete in the different field of sports especially in basketball during the NCAA games through cheer and dance. It also aims to develop the self confidence and gracefulness of the members especially during performances.
4. Academic Clubs
The Math Wizards Club was conceptualized for the mathematically inclined students. It is being offered to students who garnered an average of 83% and above during the previous grade level. It involves research, computations, analytical activities and formulation of puzzle and other mathematical games.
MATH HONORS’ SOCIETY
The club provides its members with meaningful experiences in Mathematics that will help them in logical thinking. It provides real life experiences that will make the members realize the importance of Mathematics to daily life. The club also helps those who lack skills in Mathematics to improve and to produce competitive Math contestants on and off campus.
Sci-Gen X Club is a group organized to develop the members’ awareness of the importance of science to life. It also sustains their interests in acquiring more scientific knowledge and to develop their skills for the betterment of our country’s technology. The activities of the club will develop the student’s scientific attitude that will mark them resourceful, analytical and caring for the earth and environment.
Children’s Theatre focuses on developing effective speech habits and skills through improving voice qualities, rhythm, intonation and correct pronunciation. The activities such as choral recitation, speech choir, play, pantomime and exercises give the students adequate practice in developing self-confidence along with the right attitudes and skills in theater arts.
The Samahang Makabayan is an accredited club which is open to all grades 5 and 6 students.The club aims to develop and sustain interest and fascination about the Philippines – our ancestors, out history, culture, traditions, beliefs and government as well as keeping them updated with what is happening around the country and the world.
Ang BANYUHAY ay isang samahang pang-mag-aaral na ang layunin ay hubugin pa ang kakayahang pangkomunikatibo ng mga mag-aaral tulad ng pagbasa, pagsulat, pakikinig, pagsasalita at panonood. Naisin ng samahang ito na hubugin ang isang indibidwal na may kahusayan, katalinuhan, kasanayan at kagalingang magagamit niya sa pagpapaunlad ng sarili , may pananagutan at may kakayahang tumugon at mapagtagumpayan ang mga pagbabagong nagaganap sa lipunang kanyang kinabibilangan sa pamamagitan ng paggamit ng wikang Filipino.
This club will tap students who have potentials to become computer wizards. This will enable the students to deepen their knowledge of the different things they learn with the use of the computer. Their exposure to technology will hone the talent to become globally-competitive.
The club provides opportunities to strengthen the members’ knowledge and skills in culinary arts, home management and handicrafts. It helps members to experience practical life-long learning values formation, love for God, family, community, and self.

1. STUDENT COUNCIL
The Student Council is composed of student leaders elected at large by the student body. It serves as the students governing body in so far student activities are concerned and as a liaison body between the students and the faculty and between students and administration on matters pertaining to student affairs.
2. MARSHALS ORGANIZATION
The Marshals Organization assists the Office of the Prefect of Student Affairs in enforcing the rules and regulations of the school and helps in maintaining order and discipline.
3. SERVIAM SOCIETY
The Serviam Society is an organization of honor students who are pledged to share their God-given talents by assisting others to improve in their studies.

1. RELIGION CORE GROUP
The Religion Core Group is a community that aims to radiate an authentic Christian life among their peers, in their respective families, communities and in the society at large.
2. ENGLISH CLUB
The English Club helps the students develop their communication skills in English through activities such as writing contests, seminars, and workshops. It also aims to develop the skills and talents of its members through continuous exposure to cultural and educational programs and presentations related to English.
Ang Batingaw ay isang kapisanang binubuo ng mga mag-aaral na ang layuin ay maibahagi ang buhay, kalinagan, at kaugaliang Pilipino sa mga kapwa Bedista, gayundin ang pagpapalaganap at pagpapahalaga sa wika at panitikang Pilipino.
4. SOCIAL STUDIES CLUB
The Social Studies Club was organized not only to develop the interest of its members in the Social Sciences but also to instill national consciousness among Bedans. It aims to enhance critical thinking through analysis and discussion of relevant issues affecting society.
5. BIOSCICHEMPHY SOCIETY
The Bioscichemphy Society is the Science Club of the Department. It seeks to arouse deeper and wider interest of its members in the Natural Sciences and science-oriented activities while integrating Christian values as well. This is done by sponsoring symposia and tutorial services in the Science subjects.
6. MATH CLUB
The Math Club seeks to arouse its members’ interest in Mathematics through seminar-workshop and contests. It also seeks to improve the mathematical skills of its members while promoting mathematically facility to non-members through peer-tutoring.
7. BEDAN COMPUTER CLUB
The Bedan Computer composed of a group of computer enthusiasts aims to develop its members’ computer literacy to better prepare them for the challenges of the future.
8. HIGH SCHOOL GLEE CLUB
The High School Glee Club is an organization that seeks to develop the musical interest and abilities of students while contributing to the cultural life of the Bedan community through choral music.
9. SPORTS CLUB
The Sports Club organizes and supervises athletic activities that serve as the performance medium for the different skills learned in the Physical Education classes.
10. ETHNIC MUSICAL ENSEMBLE
The Ethnic Musical Ensemble is a club for students who have interest in playing musical ethnic instruments. Members of the club will be taught how to play Anklung and other musical instruments that create hidden melody through exciting rhythmic sounds. This is a club where students can develop their special musical skills and talents.

1. BEDAN SCOUT BRIGADE
The San Bedan Scout Brigade is the official Boy Scout chapter in San Beda College. Its activities are regulated by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. The organization enhances the conduct and Christian values of the scouts through its character building activities. Developing self-reliance among its members will give them the opportunity to work and live on their own particularly during camping and other outdoor activities.
2. BEDAN THEATER GUILD
The BedanTheater Guild is the official theater guild of the Secondary Level. It aims to discover and hone the artistic talents and theatrical potentials of its members in stage acting production, clarification of values, and development of appreciation for the theater arts. The guild centralizes into one governing body the dramatic efforts and activities of the high school Bedans. Their production portrays the Filipino soul via the medium of the theatre.
3. CUB RECORDER
The Cub Recorder is the official student publication composed of students selected through competitive examinations. It serves as an outlet for the communication and writing abilities of the students. It also serves as a vehicle to inculcate in the students the Christian values in news writing and reporting.
The Secondary Level Echoes is the official annual or yearbook of the department that chronicles the activities of the Secondary Level in a given year with special emphasis on the graduating class. During the yearbook production, the organizational skills and technical knowledge of the staff members are developed.
5. DEBATING SOCIETY
The Debating Society is the organization that trains its members in the field of public speaking and logical reasoning. From its members comes one of the best high school debaters conquering various debating competitions.
6. HIGH SCHOOL BAND
The High School Band is the official drum and bugle cops of San Beda. It performs not only during flag ceremonies of the department but also in various functions like the NCAA games and special events.

The Book Lovers Club is an organization of Secondary Level students with common interest in reading books and other printed materials. It develops in the students’ appreciation and love for good books. It provides members with activities that improve their skills in listening and reading.
The official dance guild of the department that performs in various on-campus and offcampus activities.
3. YOUNG ARTIST CIRCLE
The Young Artist Circle provide its members opportunities to further develop and enhance their appreciation of different expressions of art, talents and skills. It serves the community by taking care of the decorations during activities and presentations.
4. INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE
This club is for students who have special skills in playing musical instruments such as the Recorder (Flute), Keyboard (piano/organ), violin, and others. This will help the students enhance their gift of talents and skills as well as their self-confidence.
5. HIGH SCHOOL ACOUSTICS
This club will train members (bass guitarist, lead guitarist, keyboard player, drummer, percussion player, and a soloist) to play music using acoustic instruments. The sound in this type of instruments is not made louder by electronic amplification thus reproducing the natural sound accurately. The musical pieces are focused on pop music.
6. SENIOR RONDALLA
This club is intended for students who have special interest in stringed instruments such as guitar, banduria, octavina, laud, and the stringed bass. The members will have the opportunity to learn the basic techniques in playing the said instruments and to read notes on the musical staff from simple pieces to more complicated ones.
7. SWITCH CREW
This is a club geared towards developing the talent and skills of students in dancing. The objectives are to build self-confidence and pride in its members, to develop teamwork and camaraderie, and to provide opportunities to choreograph and/or perform dances of various styles.
8. CULINARY ARTS CLUB
The Culinary Arts Club aims to provide hands on learning experience for students. The objectives are to provide students with interactive examples of kitchen safety, kitchen etiquette, recipe preparation and food presentation techniques.
