ClinicalKey is a dynamic clinical resource designed to provide physicians with fast, clinically-relevant answers from Elsevier’s enormous library of proprietary medical and surgical content. ClinicalKey was built specifically to meet the search needs of physicians that a clinical resource be comprehensive, trusted, and fast.

Ebscohost – a database of articles from more than a thousand journals for College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School of Business, Graduate School of Law, Graduate School of Liturgy, College of Medicine and College of Nursing.

Online eCollections in the areas of Social Sciences and the Humanities.  The new eCollections have been sourced from a cadre of highly-regarded publishers from the United States and the United Kingdom. These publishers include Routledge, RoutledgeFalmer, UCL Press, Garland and Taylor & Francis. 

LEX LIBRIS from CD Asia Online is the latest innovation from CD Technologies Asia, Inc. It provides access to the complete databases of Philippine laws and jurisprudence comprising over 70,000 documents, through the most advanced search engine for legal databases in the country today. All materials in CD Asia Online are gathered only from official sources and include the complete text and footnotes

Escra – also known as the Supreme Court Reports Annotated Online.  Supreme Court decisions from 1901 to resent are available in this database. This database is accessible at the Information Commons

HOW TO ACCESS

A. Print (Books and Periodicals)

Follett Destiny– a guide to the resources of the College
Library

On-Campus (Library OPAC)

1. Open the web browser, Follett Destiny window  will be displayed, then click the San Beda College Libraries button.                 


2. To start searching, enter either a complete word or a phrase (in quotes) in the Find box and click a search button.

Þ  to narrow your search, set the “search limiters” by selecting the material type, and then press Enter button.

3. The search result will display the brief details (i.e. title, author, call no., location and year of publication); click the desired material to view complete details.
4. To retrieve the material, copy the call number of the book and identify the exact location where the material can be found;

1. Open the San Beda College homepage at www.sanbeda.edu.ph
2. Point the mouse pointer to Online Library and click Follett Destiny
3. Follett Destiny window  will be displayed, then click the San Beda College Libraries button
4.  Follow the basic searching procedure above. 

 

B. Online Resources

1. Open the internet connection at the Information Commons, Health Sciences Library, BEDANET or at wi-fi area in the campus.
2. Open the SBC website and click the link Online Library.
3. Select the database.
4. In the search box, type in a topic and start searching the database.
5. You may print, download, or e-mail to your account any of the articles found in the database.
