The San Beda University Graduate School of Business (SBU-GSB) offers a world class graduate education that is inspired by the tenets on LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE of St. Benedict of Nursia (A.D. 480-547) as well as the Ten Benedictine Hallmarks.


It seeks to train knowledgeable, principled and skilled leaders that have a “global mindset” and skills in navigating organizational realities. Emphasis is on leadership development, critical, creative and integrative thinking and learning.


The Benedictine Rule of Leadership that focuses on collegiality, team work, community and organization, creativity and innovation, stability, discipline, ethics and empowerment is integrated in the value system of the whole program.


It provides a serious agenda that seeks to develop universal principles of leadership and promote good governance in both the private and public sectors with accountability and social responsibility at its very core.


METHODS OF INSTRUCTION

The methods of instruction to be used industry practitioners  faculty members will be largely dependent on the respective subject courses. These will vary from using the traditional lecture method to adopting more innovative techniques like reporting, case studies, simulation, brainstorming, debate, role-playing and others.


RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS

THE JOURNAL OF BUSINESS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (JBRD)

The Journal of Business Research and Development (JBRD) is an annual refereed journal published by the San Beda University  Graduate School of Business (SBU-GSB).

This publication is SBU-GSB’s response to address the need for more opportunities and venues for scholars and practitioners to further advance new knowledge in the field of business, and enable development of new policies, processes, services, and products. 

It seeks to publish research and technical articles that should examine empirically and theoretically the interaction between research and innovations in the business arena.  Papers published in the JBRD should be relevant in scope, and should address prevailing or emerging issues that affect the ever-changing global business landscape.  It should in the end serve as a springboard for the development of the new and the unexplored. 

Acceptable papers for JBRD publication include: research articles and notes, special issues, special sections, discussion papers on relevant topical issues and book reviews.
