COMMUNITY EXTENSION
San Beda University is at the forefront in providing meaningful opportunities for community engagements and volunteerism through extension programs that contribute to the human development of partner communities, and their emancipation from various societal ills.
The University’s extension programs are sustainable, curriculum-driven and research-based. The programs foster sustainable economic development in marginalized communities through social enterprise. With the expertise of administrators, faculty members, staff and students, partner communities are provided with technical knowledge and innovative ideas to enable them to become self-reliant.
Programs are well integrated into curriculum to develop social awareness and concern among faculty members and students. Comprehensive and interdisciplinary, the programs strengthen the academic expertise of faculty members and increase their involvement in the community. Students, through the co-curricular activities, apply classroom learning in community outreach programs.
