ABOUT THE SBC GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

The Graduate School of Business Management Team has immediately embarked on an action agenda designed to elevate San Beda College Graduate School of Business to a distinctive leadership position in field of Philippine business education.

On to a fresh start, the BACK TO BASICS program of the Graduate School of Business aims to capture premier market share amongst higher learning institutions by revisiting the fundamentals that distinguish the world renowned brand of Benedictine education.
“Bedans leading Bedans” is the theme evoked as the first ever Graduate School of Business Professional Chair, the Jesus “Chito” P. Francisco Distinguished Professorial Chair in Environmental Management was instituted as an endowment fund for instructional, community development and research initiatives.  Returning to the Lion’s Den were top notch Bedan industry practitioners who now form an integral part in the revitalized roster of faculty.

With a “customer driven philosophy”, the importance of options for its primary stakeholders, the GSB Bedan students, remain paramount.  The Graduate School of Business has reached out to the international academic community to forge strategic partnerships in order to further develop global competency and competitiveness.  University of Newcastle, a well recognized University from Australia, leads the way forward in this cooperative arrangement.

Aligned with this initiative, the quality of physical facilities at the Graduate School of Business has been enhanced to provide a more suitable context for the interactive learning.  The renovation program, based on an information and communication technology platform, has been facilitated thru the kindness and generosity of prominent Bedan Alumni like Mr. Robert Coyuito, Atty. Jimmy Buhain and Atty. Jonas Cabochan.

In order to broaden its appeal, Graduate School of Business has developed new course offerings targeted towards non-governmental organizations and the public sector.  The Governance Degrees, Master of Public Governance (MPG) and Doctorate in Public Governance (DPG) recognize the key importance of character in capacity building for both civil society and government.

Already, the Graduate School of Business Active Recruitment Campaign has attracted a new cadre of freshmen, the newly christened “Bedan Cubs” who were formally recognized during the recently held orientation rites highlighted by a symbolic Capping Ceremony.  The newly launched official publication of the Graduate School of Business, the Bedan Management Professional plays a vital role in the integrated marketing of the San Beda College Graduate School of Business.

With characteristic Benedictine work ethic and fidelity to Christian values, the renewed focus on innovation will surely be a wellspring for a meaningful transformation of the Graduate School of Business in the service of God, Country and the Global Community. ANIMO SAN BEDA.
