In line with Pope Francis’ Laudato Si', an encyclical on caring for our common home, a tree planting activity was held on October 21, 2023, at Brgy. Calawis, Antipolo, Rizal. The said activity was spearheaded by Bedan Earth Enthusiasts in collaboration with Entourage, Bedan Red Cross Youth and SHS Student Council in line with the celebration of the 5th International Linkages Week with the theme “Integrative and Collaborative Education Initiatives for Ecologically Sustainable Development”. It was indeed a meaningful experience for all the participants because of the opportunity to help in the reforestation along the mountain range of Sierra Madre. Participants also get to interact with the students and teachers of Calawis National High School. They also received agricultural tools and academic books that were donated by the SHSM Faculty Club.
